Full-Time Medical Clinic Coder

Callaway Medical Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Full-Time Medical Clinic Coder to join our healthcare team.

This position is responsible for accurately reviewing, coding, and submitting medical claims while ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and payer requirements. Essential Responsibilities:

• Review provider documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for clinic services.
• Ensure coding complies with payer regulations and coding guidelines.
• Work closely with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation as needed.
• Assist with claim edits, denials, and coding-related questions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Stay current on coding changes, payer updates, and industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification preferred.
• Previous medical coding experience in a clinic or physician's office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as a member of the healthcare team.
