Our firm traces its beginnings to 1942 when R. L. Jones opened his accounting practice in Nampa. In 1969, he merged his firm of Jones, Ripley, and Doorn with the practice of Russell Severn. The new firm was named Severn, Ripley, Doorn, and Hanson and subsequently grew into a strong Idaho practice with offices in Nampa, Boise, Twin Falls, and Ketchum/Sun Valley. In 1975, the firm merged with Haskins & Sells, a predecessor of Deloitte & Touche, one of today’s largest international public accounting firms. Dwight Ripley and Gary Doorn resigned as partners in Haskins & Sells in 1977 and returned the Nampa office to local practice. The Caldwell office was opened in 1978 and the Boise office was opened in 1981.
