MN Operations (MN), a national company based out of Boise, Idaho, was established in early 2020 as a direct response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Founded by Tommy Ahlquist, an emergency medicine physician, and Michael Boren, founder of Clearwater Analytics and technology investor, MN took on the task of tackling the barriers that slowed an organization’s access to Covid-19 testing in high volumes. It became apparent early on while solving the issues around diagnostic testing that some of the most immediate and basic needs surrounding infectious disease prevention were not being met.
