Making things that can seem out of reach more approachable is important to me. Seemingly complicated subjects I work at dismantling into consumable portions at different times include personal finance, being charitable, and appreciating art and the creative process.
I write and publish articles about money matters as part of my efforts to demystify and simplify their complexity. I do believe as financial professionals we can help clear a path toward greater understanding and investor self-confidence. By writing about rites of passage and the connection between our experiences and our finances, the lessons become relatable.
Since I was young, my adoptive parents influenced me with their charitable spirit and service. They instilled in me their formidable work ethic and belief that lifes true meaning is found in giving of oneself. I am inspired every day by the abundance of charitable organizations and the benevolence of their supporters. Working with charitably minded families and with nonprofits is what prompted me to publish a resource to link donors and volunteers with causes that align with their personal and workplace values.
