With our eyes on the future, were taking steps to reduce our reliance on carbon-based fuels and meet ambitious goals set by your elected Board of Directors and state lawmakers to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We're on track to provide 33% of our energy from renewable sources by 2020. Investments in wind, solar and biogas will help us get there.

One important way we do this is through technology that puts you in greater control of your energy choices. From managing your energy at any time and from anywhere, to smart thermostats, appliances and other devices that help your home operate at peak efficiency.

This started with the installation of 600,000 smart meters across our entire service area. These are connected to other leading technologies to create a "smart grid."

The smart grid can help transform how you use energy and how we serve your energy needs, allowing for a much more interactive customer experience than ever before.
