Kids' Advocacy Place (KAP)

Kids' Advocacy Place (KAP) utilizes a multi-agency approach to address and coordinate services for children and families affected by emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or neglect. Serving five counties—Kerr, Bandera, Gillespie, Kendall, and Kimble—KAP works with highly trained staff in collaboration with the Department of Family and Protective Services, law enforcement, and other relevant agencies. Focused on children under 18, KAP addresses cases referred by Child Protective Services, local law enforcement, and prosecution offices. The organization annually supports over 350 children, highlighting the pervasive nature of child abuse across all demographics and emphasizing the importance of coordinated, comprehensive care and intervention.
