The Department of Planning, overseen by the City of Havre de Grace in MD, is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the city's physical and built environment. Rooted in the historic heritage of the Chesapeake Bay community, our mission extends to ensuring prosperity for present and future generations, as well as all who reside, labor, or visit here. Our services encompass a range of critical areas including zoning regulations, building codes, permits, land development, property maintenance, Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Management, floodplain and wetlands management, forest conservation, and residential rental registration. Through strategic planning and regulatory oversight, we strive to maintain the unique charm and vitality of Havre de Grace while facilitating responsible growth and development.
