Food Advocacy Program


The Food Advocacy Program at Harford Community Action Agency in Edgewood, Maryland, is a six-week class that teaches families how to access and prepare healthier food on a budget. The program covers topics like meeting MyPlate goals, reading nutrition labels, and making simple healthy snacks. Participants take home food at the end of each class to practice new recipes, and they receive a certificate and gift card upon completion. This program also connects families with local resources to help reduce childhood hunger.
