At Alta Mira’s Respite Home, Family Support Services (FSS) provides an opportunity for an individual to enjoy time away from their caregiver and develop new relationships with their peers via community outings and new social experiences. The Respite Home staff assist the individual in activities of daily living, promote the individual’s health and safety, and involvement and leisure play and other Respite Home activities. Outside of their typical family routine, respite care at the Respite Home enables caregivers the ability to recharge.
