The benefit of a hair test is that it can show drug use from up to 3 months ago. Hair collection consists of cutting approximately 120 strands of hair as close to the scalp as possible, gathered from multiple spots in order to make it as unnoticeable as possible. The hair sample will be sealed in a specimen bag and sent to a reference lab for testing.
