Like living on the edge? This trail is for you! There are definitely some steep spots along the way. We require you to be at least an intermediate UTV driver. Once you make it to the top of Asphalt Ridge you’ll be rewarded with overlooking vistas of March Peak to the Book Cliffs. Here you’ll see some amazing landscapes and panoramic views. This trail takes you up and down along the mountain’s ridgeline. It is not for the faint of heart. This ridgetop trail is named Asphalt Ridge from its abundance of tar sands. There are literal spots along the way where you may smell and see natural deposits of this tar sand bubbling up from beneath the ground. The 360-degree views from the top are worth this white knuckle adventure you will not soon forget!
