Sumter County Youth Livestock Programs provide real life, educational opportunities for our youth who want to experience producing quality livestock for today's discriminating consumers.
Our programs offer an opportunity to local youth in our community who would otherwise not have the means, knowledge, or resources to participate.
These programs enrich and enhance their lives and instill the necessary life skills of responsibility, fairness, respect, caring, and citizenship that are important in today's world.
Our youth Livestock Programs are built on the foundation of building character.
Local FFA and 4-H youth livestock projects enter the annual Fair, including swine, lamb, cattle, poultry, and rabbits.
The Sumter County Fair Association has given millions in premium cash awards to the youth in our local community.
