There Is More Than One Way to Give

When we talk about philanthropy, money is usually the first thing that comes to mind.

Financial generosity matters enormously. Donations make programs possible, provide resources, and allow nonprofit organizations to serve more people.

But money is only part of what makes a community generous.

People also have time.

Shine Forward Southern Arizona was created to help connect those resources with organizations that can put them to work.

Helping Southern Arizona Discover Its Nonprofits

Shine Forward gives those organizations another place to be seen and another opportunity to tell their stories.

Throughout the year, the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation will highlight nonprofits, community needs, volunteers, businesses, supporters, and opportunities to become involved.

The goal isn't simply awareness for awareness's sake.

It's connection.

Someone reading about a youth organization may decide to volunteer.

A business owner may discover an opportunity to sponsor a program.

A retired professional may realize that decades of experience could help a nonprofit board.

A family may find a cause they want to support together.

Shine Forward reflects the communities served by the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation throughout Southern Arizona, including Green Valley, Sahuarita, Amado, Arivaca, Tubac, Tumacacori, Rio Rico, Nogales, and surrounding areas.

Each community has its own character. Each has organizations doing important work. Each has people who want to help.

Shine Forward creates another way for them to find one another.
