Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward: A Celebration With a Purpose

On November 14, the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation will bring the community together for Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward, a celebration designed around something we believe strongly: supporting our community can also be a lot of fun.

An Event Built Around Community

Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward brings together local businesses, wineries, nonprofit organizations, sponsors, residents, and visitors for an experience that celebrates Southern Arizona while supporting the organizations that make our communities stronger.

Guests will have an opportunity to sip and discover wines, visit participating businesses, learn more about local nonprofits, and spend time with friends and neighbors.

But there is a larger story behind the event.

Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward is part of the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation's Shine Forward Southern Arizona initiative.

And that makes this more than a single November event.

Discover the Organizations Doing the Work

Across Southern Arizona, nonprofit organizations are quietly doing extraordinary things every day.

They're feeding families.

They're mentoring children.

They're helping older adults remain independent.

They're rescuing animals.

They're supporting education, healthcare, arts and culture, environmental programs, and people experiencing difficult seasons.

Many people would love to help these organizations. They simply don't know about them yet.

Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward gives our community another way to make those introductions.

Throughout the event and the weeks leading up to it, the Foundation will highlight participating nonprofits, community partners, sponsors, businesses, and wineries, giving residents an opportunity to discover more of the people and organizations shaping our region.

Local Businesses Are Part of the Story, Too

Strong nonprofits need strong communities around them, and local businesses play an important role.

Businesses support charitable organizations through sponsorships, donations, partnerships, volunteerism, leadership, and countless acts of generosity that don't always make headlines.

Sip, Swirl, Shop & Shine Forward gives us an opportunity to celebrate that contribution, too.
