Emergency Food Access

Building a stronger food network means being prepared when communities need support most. Through a collaborative Emergency Food Access Plan, local farmers, producers, nonprofits, and emergency response partners are working together to map resources, identify gaps, and create reliable food distribution strategies for wildfires, severe weather, and other disruptions. The goal is a flexible, community-driven model that helps Plumas County respond quickly and equitably while strengthening local food security. Community members can also get involved as service area coordinators to help identify local food producers, providers, preparers, and delivery partners.
