Green Sand Molding

Green sand molding is a cost-effective, fast, and versatile method for producing molds, where a mixture of sand is compressed into a hard mold to securely contain molten iron. At RMP, this process is managed by a highly-automated system to ensure consistency and precision. RMP utilizes two automated green sand molding technologies: vertical and matchplate. Vertical molding is primarily used for high-volume, high-precision casting, while matchplate molding is ideal for shorter series production, especially for gray-iron molding.
