Workshops

The workshops, co-hosted with the Nevada Division of Minerals, provide Nevada K-12 teachers with engaging opportunities to learn about the state’s unique geology and modern mining industry. Held twice each year, these Earth Science Education Workshops combine classroom learning with hands-on experiences and field trips, giving educators valuable insights and resources they can bring back to their students. The program helps teachers better understand Nevada’s natural resources while making earth science learning more interactive and meaningful in the classroom.
