At the start of the 2023/2024 winter season, Mountain Express launched a pilot on-demand service to replace an underperforming fixed condo route. The results of the inaugural season were highly successful, with ridership increasing from approximately 21,000 to 49,000 passengers. Notably, 40 percent of these riders came from residential areas that previously did not have access to bus service, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in expanding accessibility and meeting community transportation needs.
