Athlete Leadership at Special Olympics Colorado (SOCO) empowers athletes to play an active role in shaping the future of the Special Olympics movement while ensuring that individuals with intellectual disabilities have access to fair and enjoyable sports training and competition. Through specialized training, athletes are equipped to take on meaningful leadership roles both within and beyond the playing field. SOCO offers a variety of opportunities for athletes to lead and remains committed to expanding initiatives that make its programs increasingly athlete-driven.
