PERMANENT HAIR REDUCTION & REMOVAL
Laser treatment is a non-invasive approach to permanent hair reduction. Each laser pulse targets the hair follicles and, with heat, damages the follicles in the growth stage, stopping hair growth. A series of six to ten sessions will reduce 70 percent or more of the hair in the treated area. We can treat the upper lip, chin, full face, underarms, bikini, brazilian, arms, legs, and back with laser hair removal.
HOW LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORKS
Laser hair removal works by using concentrated light to target and destroy the hair follicles that produce hair.
- Targeting the Hair Follicle: The laser shoots a beam of light at the skin, and the pigment in the hair absorbs that light. The darker the hair, the better!
- Heat Generation: The absorbed light converts into heat and damages the hair follicle. This damage is what stops hair growth.
- Selective Damage: The laser is designed to target the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin.
Multiple Sessions - Hair grows in cycles (anagen, catagen, and telogen phases), and laser hair removal is most effective during the anagen (growth) phase. Since not all hairs are in the growth phase at the same time, multiple sessions are needed to effectively target all hair follicles.
Aftercare and Results - After treatment, the hair follicle may not produce hair for a long period, and in some cases, hair may stop growing altogether. However, results vary based on individual factors like hair color, skin type, and hormonal influences. It’s common to require maintenance treatments over time.
