Bluff Hall, built in 1832 by Francis Strother Lyon, is a stunning house museum that brings Alabama history to life. Visitors can explore an impressive clothing and textile collection dating back to the early 1800s, admire antique furnishings including slave-made pieces from the Demopolis area, and view remarkable portraits and landscapes by artists such as Wilhelm Frye. Overlooking the White Bluffs of the Tombigbee River, Bluff Hall is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm, with admission charged and group rates available.
