CYO CORE Program: Participate. Appreciate. Communicate. Dedicate.
The CORE Program is the heart of Colorado Youth Outdoors — a 12-week journey designed to strengthen family relationships through traditional outdoor recreation. Rooted in our PACD framework (Participate, Appreciate, Communicate, Dedicate), CORE uses activities like archery, fishing, and shooting sports to help families grow closer, build trust, and create lasting memories.
Each session brings families together in a supportive environment where they learn new skills, explore the outdoors, and engage in meaningful conversation — all guided by trained instructors and community mentors.
What Makes CORE Unique:
Hands-on experiences in archery, fishing, and shooting sports
Designed for youth (ages 10–18) and a parent or trusted adult
Built-in reflection time that fosters open communication and connection
Focus on appreciation for the outdoors and each other
Offered seasonally in a small-group format at Venetucci Farms and other partner sites
Why it Matters:
In a world pulling families apart, CORE brings them back together. After one season, 85% of families report improved communication — and countless stories emerge of connection, healing, and joy.
