Exhibits and Historic Campus


The Western Museum of Mining & Industry features a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits that showcase the history and impact of mining in Colorado and the American West. Highlights include interactive displays, a walk-through mine drift, working steam engines, and Colorado’s largest collection of fluorescent minerals. The historic outdoor campus includes the Reynolds Ranch House, a listed Victorian farmhouse, and the Blacksmith Demonstration Building, both accessible during special events or by appointment. Visitors can also view the operational Yellow Jacket II Stamp Mill and other historic machinery, offering a comprehensive and immersive look into the region’s mining heritage.
