Assessor's Office Duties


The Assessor's Office, established under Section 8, Article XIV of the Colorado Constitution and governed by Title 30 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, is responsible for identifying, listing, classifying, and valuing all taxable real and personal property within Teller County. Key responsibilities include certifying the total assessed valuation of all taxable property, providing lists of property owners upon request, identifying previously omitted assessable properties, designating property within municipalities, and receiving and maintaining accurate documentation and records in compliance with state requirements.
