Homeless Assistance

The term “homeless children and youth” refers to young individuals who do not have a fixed, regular, and safe place to sleep at night. This includes those who are staying temporarily with others due to a loss of housing or financial hardship, living in motels, shelters, or places not meant for long-term living like cars, parks, or abandoned buildings. It also includes children awaiting foster care placement or those in hospitals without a permanent home, as well as migratory children living in similar unstable conditions.
