Property owners are responsible for maintaining sewer lines from their property to the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District’s (CPNMD) main line. The District collects approximately 500,000 gallons of wastewater daily, which is transported through a network of lift stations and over seven miles of sewer lines to the Plum Creek Water Reclamation Authority. A 16-inch force main installed in 2008 provides backup to ensure uninterrupted service. Treated water is either released into East Plum Creek, eventually reaching Chatfield Reservoir and the South Platte River, or recycled for irrigation at the Ridge at Castle Pines North Golf Course.
