Tallgrass is actively advancing carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) as a powerful solution for long-term emissions reduction. We’re converting our Trailblazer natural gas pipeline into a 400-mile CO2 transportation system that will support the capture, transport, and permanent storage of over 10 million tons of CO2 annually from industrial sources in Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming. This project includes the development of a commercial-scale CO2 sequestration hub in southeastern Wyoming, supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Energy Authority. Additionally, we’ve received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy to study carbon capture from hydrogen production using cutting-edge technology, and we continue to invest in high-quality carbon offsets to help reduce emissions across our operations.
