Adjustment of Status (AOS)

Adjustment of Status, or AOS, is the process for applying for a Green Card while you're already in the U.S. It allows you to become a lawful permanent resident without having to leave the country. With a Green Card, you can live and work in the U.S. permanently and even take the next step toward U.S. citizenship down the road.
