Public Works

The City of Clairton’s Public Works Department is dedicated to maintaining the city’s infrastructure and public spaces. With a team of full-time and seasonal workers, they manage essential services such as street cleaning, grass cutting, recycling, road repair, and snow removal. They also respond to local emergencies and oversee a fleet of maintenance vehicles. During summer, they ensure parks and playgrounds remain in excellent condition, while in winter, they focus on clearing roads of snow and ice. In severe weather, a State of Emergency may be declared to bring in additional resources. Their ongoing efforts are essential to maintaining the city's safety, functionality, and quality of life.
