Summer Law Clerk Program

Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) offers a dynamic Summer Law Clerk Program, now in its 25th year, designed for first- and second-year law students. Participants in the program may have the opportunity to extend their involvement into the fall and spring, based on the firm's needs. AALRR seeks diligent and proactive candidates who are eager to engage directly with clients and contribute to various legal proceedings. The program is structured to enhance clerical analytical and writing skills, which are crucial for passing the bar exam. Many clerks who excel in the program receive offers to continue their careers with the firm post-bar, with some advancing to partner roles. Over a 10-12 week period, clerks work under the guidance of senior mentors and handle assignments that span constitutional, contractual, labor, discrimination, and harassment laws. The program operates across several California locations, providing clerks with a comprehensive view of the legal landscape and a robust start to their legal careers.
