Local Government Leadership Program

The Local Government Leadership Program, facilitated by Leadership New Mexico in collaboration with New Mexico Counties, the New Mexico Municipal League, and the New Mexico School Boards Association, is designed to enhance the leadership skills of local officials and deepen their commitment to community service. This program, which includes two intensive 2.5-day sessions, covers a range of topics such as state history, economic development, education, and personal leadership development. Participants engage with expert speakers and partake in discussions aimed at addressing New Mexico's most pressing issues. Open to a diverse group of civic leaders, the program encourages active participation and offers scholarships, particularly to individuals from rural areas.
