Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to Soldiers and their families in times of emergency. Assistance is offered through interest-free loans, grants, or a combination of both, and is designed to help those affected by unforeseen financial crises. AER services are accessible through the Army Community Service, where Soldiers can consult with an AER Officer to evaluate their emergency needs. Additionally, the American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Service Center is available 24/7 to address urgent financial needs outside of normal operating hours.
