Traditional Indigenous Foods Diet and Health Study

The Traditional Indigenous Foods Diet and Health Study, conducted by the USDA Agricultural Research Service at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center, aims to explore the health impacts of a diet based on traditional foods consumed by tribes in the Northern Great Plains. This research collaborates with United Tribes Technical College and historians from the University of North Dakota to assess whether this diet can enhance physical activity, metabolic health, mood, and self-regulation in eating and physical activity among American Indians.
