Geriatrics

The Geriatrics program at UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences focuses on the unique health care needs of older adults. This specialty equips students with the knowledge and skills to manage complex medical conditions often associated with aging. Through a combination of classroom instruction and clinical rotations, students learn to provide comprehensive care that emphasizes functional independence, quality of life, and effective communication with patients and their families.
